RV Types
Class A
Offering the most comfort, space, and luxury, Class A motor homes are the largest type of RV. Inside you’ll usually find a living area, kitchen, dining area, and master bedroom. Many models include slide-out areas, up to four, which provide extra interior room. Specialized driving skills are not required for Class A’s—they handle a lot like cars—and it’s easy to tow a vehicle behind for local travel.
Class C
Class C motor homes are smaller than Class A’s, but they provide many of the same features and usually sleep more people. Built on a truck chassis—Class C’s drive like trucks—the driving cab is lower than the living area, usually with a sleeping area above the cab. Many include slide-out areas, adding interior space when parked. Class C’s are ideal for families and camping.
Travel Trailers
Travel Trailer RV’s are towed using a bumper or frame hitch. With the tow vehicle available for local travel, Travel Trailers are suited for multi-day parking and use, so they are perfect for “destination” camping. Amenities range from simple to luxurious, and many include slide-out areas.
Fifth-wheels
For those with a 5th Wheel hitch, 5th Wheel RV’s are the safest to tow and easiest to maneuver. These bi-level RV’s mount to a 5th Wheel coupling that is mounted to the bed of a pickup. Amenities are similar to Travel Trailer RV’s.
Toy Haulers
Like to play? Toy Haulers, whether in the form of trailers, 5th wheels, or motor homes, allow you to haul your toys anywhere while giving you plenty of space for relaxing and sleep. With a cargo area in the rear that converts to livable space, toy haulers allow you to have your cake and eat it too!
Pop-Ups
Pop-Up Trailers weigh and cost less that other RV’s, which means they are the most affordable way to experience RV camping, and the family car may be able to tow them. These RV’s usually include comfortable amenities such as convertible beds, stoves, sinks, water tanks, propane supply, and electrical systems. Some even include shower and toilet facilities.
